This blog was born in 2008 when I realized I had somewhat of an obsession with taking pictures of food that I thought looked sensational.  At that time I would take pictures of whatever was on the plate in front of me and post them on Facebook or just show them to friends as something amazing I ate!  Soon after that, I Photograph Food was born.  One of my first blog ventures where I pretty much posted the pictures from my phone and wrote a few words about the restaurant and how amazing everything is.  Somewhere down the road I discovered food blogs, and consequently my passion for cooking.  I knew it was in me somewhere coming from an Italian family, I just hadn't realized it yet.  From there I started posting recipes that I conquered from other food bloggers and some recipes of my own.

It was in late 2011 when I decided to take charge and try and make a great blog dedicated to my love of food, cooking, and travel!  Whisk Me Away is my forum to write about cooking fresh food that tastes great, and for the most part can be done at the end of the day for a busy gal like myself.
